Kerry Butler

Kerry Butler was born in Brooklyn, New York and from the age of three knew she wanted to be an actress. A graduate of Fontbonne Hall Academy, an all-girls school, Kerry is best known for her work in theater. On the stage, she has enjoyed runs on Broadway as Belle in "Beauty and the Beast,” Eponine in "Les Miserables,” Ms. Jones in "Blood Brothers,” Penny Pingleton in "Hairspray," Audrey in "Little Shop of Horrors,” Clio/Kira in “Xanadu,” Sherrie in “Rock of Ages,” Brenda Strong in “Catch Me If You Can,” Mabel Cantwell in “The Best Man,” Marianne in “Disaster!,” Mrs. Heron/Ms. Norbury/Mrs. George in “Mean Girls,” and now Barbara in the brand-new musical “Beetlejuice.”

Kerry has one solo album, "Faith, Trust & Pixie Dust," and is featured on several original cast recordings for Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. Though constantly working on the stage, she has found time to work in both film and television, with credits on such shows as "Law and Order: SVU," "One Life to Live," "Gilmore Girls" and "Sesame Street."

Kerry is the mother of two daughters, is a vegetarian and considers herself an activist whose concerns include youth mentoring, human rights violations, genocide and environmental issues.
